Dear Friends and Community Members:

A life dedicated to service of country and community best describes Bob "Camo" Gleisberg, candidate for the Oceanside Unified School District Board of Education. "Camo's" lifelong commitment to serving others is why we urge you to please join parents, teachers, classified school district personnel and community leaders who already fully support his campaign for election as an OUSD Trustee this November.

A 40-year resident of Oceanside, "Camo" has strong ties to our local military and education communities. His lengthy service on behalf of numerous groups and organizations in the North County includes his role as past Vice Chair of the OUSD Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee, helping manage the school district's $195 million bond construction program.

"Camo's" personal commitment to public education is supplemented by his family, including wife Mary, a retired OUSD teacher, principal/administrator, who served the district for 35 years, and a daughter who is now in her 18th year teaching in the district. Both of his grandchildren attend Oceanside schools. "Camo's" priority is to help continue to build a top-notch school district focused on academic achievement, while maintaining financial stability. He firmly believes it is the responsibility of a Trustee to see each student and parent as a client, and to ensure all children are being provided the absolute best education possible.
