Candidate for
Council Member; City of Milpitas

I have been a resident of Milpitas since 2000. My educational qualifications include Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Juris Doctor (JD) and Master of Laws (LLM).

I am involved with several community service and charitable causes. As an attorney, I volunteer my time to provide free legal services to those who cannot afford them. I have been a Milpitas city commissioner since 2007 and I am currently a Milpitas Planning Commissioner. In was chosen to be Milpitas Citizen of the Year in year 2012

I am also a volunteer arbitrator for a state-mandated program that handles fee disputes between attorneys and their clients. In addition I am also a member of the judicial nomination committee that helps the Governor's office in the selection of superior court judges. I had been a member of the School Site Committee, MUSD's CBAC and the chair of the Measure B Citizen Oversight Committee. I am also a board member and treasurer of the Milpitas Community Educational Endowment.

My community leadership and volunteering services have been recognized by the California Legislature, the County of Santa Clara and the City of Milpitas. My focus includes fiscally- responsible government, better educational opportunities for our future generation, safer and greener communities.
