Bear Creek Redwoods Preserve. Located just off of Highway 17 near Lexington reservoir, this area forms a convenient and visible location for the public's enjoyment. It has been a part of a previous planning effort which has not come to fruition. I support completing this process and opening this preserve to as many user groups as feasible, hikers, equestrian, cyclists, dog owners, historical, educational, fitness etc in the near future. The horse stables present on the site should be maintained and preserved, and be actively used, as this would form a substantial benefit to the public. This preserve has the potential to be one of the most visible locations within the district and increasing the public familiarity and appreciation of its efforts |
