Candidate for
Member, Governing Board; Alta Loma School District

I was first elected to the Alta Loma School District Board of Trustees in 1993.

I have represented ALSD's interests in the community and on the county and state level.

Since 1997, I have served on the Executive Board of the San Bernardino County School Boards Association, including performing the duties of Secretary, Vice-President and President.

Since 1997, I have been elected by my peers in San Bernardino County to represent the county's education interests on the Delegate Assembly of the California School Boards Association. I have also served on the Nominating Committee, the School Board Standards Task Force, the Annual Conference Committee (twice) and as Chairman of the Annual Conference Committee for this organization.

I was an active participant with the Association of Low Wealth Schools for many years, serving as President of the organization for two terms. ALWS fought for equal funding of school districts for over 30 years and was recently disbanded due to the new school funding formula.

I serve as an enthusiastic ambassador of the school district, speaking to both large and small gatherings about the excellent education programs found in the Alta Loma School District.
