Candidate for
Board Member; Centralia School District

Centralia School District has survived five years of the State financial crisis. A committee of your friends and neighbors recommended how new State funding is to be best utilized. I listened and agree with their recommendations. Student performance continues to improve with most of our schools receiving county and/or state recognition in 2013/2014.

My 13 years experience as your representative allow me to provide expertise and insight for an infrastructure upgrade program along with Board requirements and actions. I am conservative and demonstrate integrity when utilizing public funds.

My ongoing agenda remains focused on:

• Campus safety.
• A quality education for all students.
• A desirable workplace for all staff.
• Fiscal solvency.
• Increase in parental involvement.
• Increase operation of School Based Health Clinic.
• Continue my efforts to help our more needy families.
• Increase the available Arts Programs for all.

I look forward to sharing my many years of Governing Board experience and leadership with the newcomers that have no previous Board experience. I attended meetings as an observer and participant for eight years before I became a Board member. During the past 13 years I served as a trustee and four time Board President. I have not missed one single Board meeting in 13 years!
