"The past four years have been extremely challenging. Together we survived the City's economic crisis and recession brought on by the State of California.Serving you as Stanton's Mayor and Councilman is an honor and a privilege. Stanton's budget is balanced and our city's economy continues to improve. I have fought to protect your tax dollars. My job is not finished. We must continue to save money while providing necessary public services, a safe environment, and encouraging job growth. Crime has fallen 40%. My first priority will always be Police and Fire protection. The Orange County Firefighters and Sheriff have kept Stanton safe and our crime rate among the lowest in the county. I reduced the Utility Tax. I will continue to protect Proposition 13 and safeguard homeowner's rights. I believe local voters should control all taxation. I will complete the renovation of our streets, parks, schools, and neighborhoods. I will maintain our outstanding recreational programs for families, kids, and seniors. My family has lived in Stanton for 44 years. Listening to citizens and our business community has always helped me make the right decisions for Stanton. I have kept my commitment to work hard for you and ask for your continued support. Together we will keep Stanton a city of "Community Pride and Forward Vision". Thank You, David John Shawver david@shawverstanton.com (714) 821-7672 http://www.shawverforstanton.com re-elect David John Shawver |
