Trustee; Anaheim Union High School District; Trustee Area 1

I have had the honor of serving as Trustee for Anaheim Union High School District since February of 2013. Every day, I serve as your trustee working to make our district more responsive to our parents and community. I am holding our district and administrators accountable to be more fiscally responsible.

One of my top priorities is making sure Anaheim schools are preparing our children for futures in the 21st-century economy. Anaheim needs students who are thinkers, innovators, and problem solvers. And today's employers want students with character, critical thinking, creativity and communication skills.

I have been overseeing the implementation of new academic standards necessary for college and career success. I am also helping with efforts to bring state-of-the-art facilities to our campuses. Our children need the best resources to prepare them to compete in this competitive job market.

As your trustee and the parent of two future AUHSD students, I will also continue to work for safe and clean schools, art and music programs and support for our parents.

I am honored to have the endorsement of Anaheim teachers and educational leaders. A bipartisan coalition of local leaders including Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, Sheriff Sandra Hutchens and Senator Lou Correa support me.
