Upcoming Challenges Monterey is at a crossroads, and change will happen. The new Mayor and Council, with our residents, will step out in a new direction. It is important for our elected representatives to listen and be open to input from all. I have always been deeply involved personally with community activities and events, and have planned many of them. I will continue to work towards making Monterey a "yes we can" city. As your councilmember for the past eight years, as a long-time resident and retired teacher, I look forward to working with you on these challenges. As a resident of Monterey for many years, I raised four children here and have enjoyed teaching the children of the Monterey Peninsula. As a commercial and residential property owner, I know how important it is to keep business districts vibrant and thriving. Each Monterey neighborhood is unique, yet each shares common concerns. As Monterey Vista Neighborhood Association president, I worked diligently to preserve neighborhood character. Monterey is a special place to live, work, and visit. I ask for your vote, so that I can continue to work with you. |
