Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of Pacific Grove

I have always believed in a democratic transparent method in my approach to duties on the City Council. Residents have always had access to me in order to present their thoughts and concerns. When I make a decision it is before the audience in Council Chambers and also on TV.

I believe in working towards compromise and consensus with the other members of the City Council. I understand that I cannot always get my way and that I have to convince at least three other Council Members of the merits of my position.

I strongly believe in the concept of the Common Good meaning doing the most for the greatest number while harming the least to the fewest number. Of course I have to be prepared to make a decision that is not always popular if I think that is the best solution

Decisions need to be fair, morally grounded and considerate of all residents.
