Candidate Statement

We can be proud of the progress our community has made this past year on the Coastal Trail and Noyo Center projects, on expanding availability of housing, and preserving access to education.

I understand the work it takes to protect important city services while maintaining a balanced budget in an era when revenue shortfalls and increasing costs threaten the stability of many small cities. I continue to believe that our best path to increased job opportunities and economic sustainability is in retaining and expanding local businesses, so I've met with small business owners to learn more about the openings and obstacles faced by local entrepreneurs.

Many challenges remain before us + the long term future of the college, the hospital, and the mill site among them. I am optimistic because I have seen what can be accomplished when individuals and communities step forward to demand protection, change and improvement.

My commitment to you is that I will keep listening and learning, and I will maintain a focus on making Fort Bragg safer and stronger as we move forward together.
