I have been married to my wonderful husband, Ray Dunton, and been a resident of Bellflower for the past 32 years. We have 2 children educated in our public schools and I was compelled to seek this office due to the recent accreditation warning received by Cerritos College from the ACCJC.

My husband and I have managed a successful business in Bellflower for the past 28 years. I have been active Bellflower Chamber of Commerce member and formerly served as a Chamber Ambassador.

I have always been an active participant in our children's education serving as Esther Lindstrom PTA President, Mayfair High School and Lindstrom Elementary School Site Council President, BUSD Citizen's Task Force Secretary, and Mayfair High School Marching Band Booster President. I was honored to receive the PTA Honorary Service Award. Now that my children are in college I understand the costs and concerns facing today's students and their families.

When my son joined the Marine Corps I started volunteering at the Bob Hope USO LAX while continuing my 25 plus years volunteering for the Bellflower Kiwanis Club. Our family also provides housing and assistance to Bellflower's Los Mochis Sister City Program.

I have always been an active participant in our community and a strong supporter of our schools.
