Candidate for
Member, Board of Directors; West Basin Municipal Water District; Division 1

I am running for the Water Board seat because a change is needed. Due to the misdeeds of past board members, the public trust needs to be restored. In order for the Water Board to regain the trust of the people, we must elect people with a commitment to integrity,accountability, leadership and transparency. The importance of restoring and maintaining public trust is paramount to this public agency, and all necessary steps need to be taken to ensure that trust is restored.

A clean,safe and affordable water supply is a priority. Exploring new recycling methods and locating additional water supply sources are needed to address the drought concerns now plaguing the state of California. All measures need to be taken to ensure our water supplies are clean and safe for the benefit of our community. This issue will remain in the forefront of my responsibilities as I serve the West Basin constituency

With 22 years of public and private sector experience, I have been afforded the opportunity to oversee the processing and allocation of millions of dollars in public agency funds and participate in the development of guidelines to safe guard public funds as well as, participate in the audit of public funds. In addition,I have board of director experience as a board director for Comprehensive Child Care Development Organization. I have also been a project manager on a statewide public agency pilot project. Much of my work history has required me to ensure policies and procedures in handling taxpayer funds are followed. It is my goal to apply my skills and abilities to ensure the West Basin Municipal Water Board has a sound, reliable,knowledgable and honest board member.
