Do you believe in the future of California's community college education?

A strong community college should be open to students from all walks of life and serve as a pillar of opportunity for the community at-large.

I am running for the Cerritos College Board in Area 7 covering parts of much of La Mirada, Santa Fe Springs, parts of Norwalk, South Whittier and Cerritos.

As a Board of Trustee for Cerritos College, I wish to:

1. Make Cerritos College more affordable by making budgetary choices that always benefit students most and limit the narrow agendas of special interest groups.

2. Make sure that the Board boldly offers constructive criticism of decisions made by the College President and assures fairness is applied to the entire College community.

3. Make the Employees on campus STRONG by board monitoring and consideration of issues that protect hard-working Cerritos College employees

4. Create a model governing board that cares about the present and future of students, employees and the greater community covered by Area 7.

As the father of two college-age teens, I appreciate how important it is to provide post-secondary learning opportunities for local communities. As an owner of an international security business, I see the value of what even a two-year education offers individuals for their career development and job advancement.

Let's make sure that Area 7 (La Mirada, Santa Fe Springs, Norwalk, South Whittier and Cerritos) has a strong Community College making a stronger California!
