Director; Ambrose Recreation and Park District

My husband and I have lived in Bay Point for decades. We raised our two daughters, Wendy, who is 34 and Paulina, who is 26 in this community.

My work as a Volunteer Project Coordinator primarily deals with large scale land stewardship projects, engaging community volunteers, partnering with state, regional and local park districts.

I have an extensive history in Bay Point of community involvement: graffiti removal, neighborhood trash pick-up, formation of my Neighborhood Watch group, volunteering many hours for Ambrose Park District events such as the Easter egg hunt, Christmas Dinner, Breakfast with Santa, and have done extensive work cleaning up our creeks and waterways. Recently I have been in on the ground floor of a grass roots initiative called "Beautify Bay Point", a collaboration of many good people, organizations and governmental bodies to address blight in our town and create a healthier watershed.

I am a member of the Bay Point Municipal Advisory Council and Community Advisory Panel for our local industries. I was awarded a 5-year Koshland Civic Unity Fellowship in 2013 by the prestigious San Francisco Foundation. I am Block Captain of my Neighborhood Watch Group and a founding member of "The Neighborhood Committee" collaborating with local law enforcement to keep our community safe.
