"For a Safer and Better Newark"Ray J. Rodriguez is an Experienced Leader who has been serving the Newark community as a School Board Member. In his tenure, he has been President several times. He has also been President of the Mission Valley ROP Board and has chaired a countywide Hispanic Scholarship Program. Since 1998, Ray has been part of LOV Advisory Board and has been part of many of its programs. He has also served in various City and non-profit organizations committees and collaborated in the founding of Avanzando, Newark. He has been a Business owner since 1984. Ray has always been motivated in serving his community and he is well known for being a problem-solver, and reaching out for families in need. He has served as a Deacon in a local church. Ray J moved from New York to California after serving as a US Marine Vietnam Veteran. In 1973 Ray J. settled in Newark because he wanted to raise his family in a safe and nurturing environment." Newark remains that place where people are drawn to because of its small town feel. Newark is good, together we can make it great". |
