Public education is a keystone of democratic society. It is available to everyone, and its goal should be to help each person achieve his or her full potential. Our public schools need support from engaged communities, dedicated staff, and the state of California. Albany has always sought high-quality public education. Providing this type of public school system means seeking and keeping great teachers and para-educators. It also means providing a comprehensive, well-rounded program, with counselors, librarians, art, athletics, music, and support services, such as reading specialists.
