Adam Sartain is a native of the Sacramento region. As a young man, Adam identified ways to help and support his community by getting involved in the arts. He also chaired his high school's site committee, while still in high school. After earning a music degree from UC Davis, Adam maintained and enhanced his love of the arts and increasingly recognized the need for its care and support in our community as a vital resource. That love of arts in his community found him placed on boards for community bands and area musical theatre.
A run for the seat that represented almost all of the City of Sacramento in the California State Assembly in 2010 placed him in even more direct touch with many challenges our region faces, as well as the numerous bright spots that keep the region hopeful and vibrant. He had the support of many small businesses and was appreciated well for striving to offer a plan for better transparency, honesty, and candor in government. As a South Natomas homeowner, Adam has established himself with a commitment to the community, a part of the 3rd district in Sacramento that we call home. District 3 has its fair share of challenges and upsides. Adam is running to be a fresh voice on the City Council.
