Current elected Assessor John Noguez has been charged with over 40 felony counts of corruption, fraud, embezzlement, and theft. He accepted bribes to lower political supporters' property tax assessments, and it has cost us millions.

John Morris will restore integrity to the Assessor's Office. John has been a criminal prosecutor at the District Attorney's Office for over 23 years. He served in the elite Hardcore Gang Division for nine years prosecuting gang murders and has tried over 220 criminal trials. He also has worked to rehabilitate first time, low-level offenders.

John supervised one of the largest fraud prosecution divisions in the state and transformed it into the state leader in fraud prosecutions. In less than three years the Division more than tripled the number of its criminal prosecutions. He also supervised the criminal cases in the entire Antelope Valley and the Santa Clarita Valley.

John Morris has served LA County taxpayers for more than two decades as a highly respected prosecutor. He has won convictions against violent felons and white-collar criminals saving us tens of millions of dollars, and he supervised one of the largest fraud prosecution units in California.
