The work I have always done and will continue to do is empower parents to be involved in their kids' education. By utilizing tools that already exist, we can help connect families to information that will empower parents and support their needs. As School Board Member, I will be an accessible figure for parents to make sure their voices are heard. I will also nurture a collaborative working environment for all members of the educational team, including teachers, staff, administration, business and civic groups, families, and students.

I believe that every student has the right to learn from qualified teachers in safe and clean classrooms. As a parent and longtime volunteer in our schools, I have been a staunch advocate for education funding for all students. I will continue to advocate for education funding on the school board and work to ensure a fair allocation of funds so all Long Beach children have access to the education they deserve.

I deeply care about the schools all across the district. Whether you're on the East Side, West Side, Avalon, or North Long Beach, your kids deserve a great education. As a school board member, I will fight to continue to increase the graduation rates and close the achievement gap across the district. I will support policy that provides rigorous and relevant instruction at all school sites to ensure that all our students are college, career and community ready.
