Candidate for
Mayor; City of Hawthorne

For the last decade I've called Hawthorne home.

I've been a civic leader in our community, serving as President of the Holly Park Homeowner's Association, a member of the Civil Service Commission, the City's IT Director, and President of the Hawthorne Economic Development Council.

Hawthorne is a city of great promise - with the right leadership we can create a new generation of jobs, ensure our neighborhoods are safe and empowered, and make sure our government works for everyone.

But for too long the City of Good Neighbors has been marred by corruption and scandal. Today, we have a credibility deficit, with a Mayor under indictment on six felony charges. We need to change that - right away.

We need to restore integrity, accountability and openness to the Mayor's Office.

The number one priority of our next Mayor must be to restore the public trust.

My pledge to you is that If, during the time I am serving as an elected official and the Mayor of Hawthorne, I am ever charged with any crime directly resulting from my position as an elected official, I will immediately resign my position and not dirty the name of our city. I will not wait to be found guilty, the mere fact I was charged is reason enough for me to step down and admit to my failures as an elected official. That's my pledge to you.
