Robin works in Program Management as a Business Analyst for Northrop Grumman and has lived or worked in El Segundo since 1982 starting at Rockwell International. She is married to George Funk with two children, Hayley, a El Segundo High Junior and Chris, a ESUSD alum and recent graduate of University of Wisconsin - Madison. Robin also holds current school board committee positions on the City of El Segundo/El Segundo School Disrict 2x2 Committee and Imperial Avenue School Senior Housing Advisory Committee. Beyond the school board she has a long community volunteer resume that includes the Young Americans Music Outreach Committee, Community Board member of the El Segundo Museum of Art (ESMoA), the Ed! Foundation Superintendent's Roundtable Platinum Member, Tree Musketeers Adult Partner, and Girl Scout Leader for 12 years. Past involvements included Chairman of the El Segundo Planning Commission, PTA President of the Middle School and overall Council, Center Street School Site Council President, and El Segundo Kiwanis Club, past President
