Deer Springs Board Accomplishments

As Board President developers have been held accountable, Cal-Trans was convinced to make a stretch of I-15 safer and the Fire District was brought into financial stability.

A long stretch of the I-15 freeway was found to be extremely dangerous particularly the part between Gopher Canyon and the Twin Oaks off ramp. As Board President I made certain the Cal-Trans finally took it seriously. A center guard rail in now scheduled to be installed early next year.

The Deer Springs District was facing financial problems due to a lack of proper over sight and proper budget controls. During my term the Board has instituted much tighter controls, hired a full time Chief and can lay claim to financial stability. The tax rate to our residents is significantly less than the District is authorized to charge.

My philosophy has always been that I cannot make everyone like me so I don't try. I do think that every one or the District Residents has the right to have their tax money spent as efficiently as possible. Every resident also has the right to expect their Fire Board to always keep the best interest of the District in the forefront. They should expect it from me and that is exactly what will happen.
