1. What experience related to city government would you bring to the City Council?
Answer from Peter Arellano, MD:
As Mayor, I would bring 11 years of legislative experience, a passion for open and transparent government, fiscal responsibility, a devotion to preserving the health and improving the lives of all Gilroy residents. I am most qualified to understand the impact of policy decisions on our community. I respectfully request your vote.
Answer from Don Gage:
I was employed for 30 years in private industry, along with 31 years in the public sector. My leadership skills, communication skills and listening skills enable people to arrive at a consensus creating a "win/win" environment. I mentor without being threatening.
2. What concerns are of particular importance to the city and how would you address them?

Improving our economy by helping our small businesses, recruiting businesses which provide better paying jobs and working with our school district to make Gilroy schools the best in the area.
