I HAVE 25 YEARS OF MORTGAGE BANKING AND CORPORATE ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE. I KNOW HOW TO PREPARE A BUDGET & ENSURE FISCAL RESPONSIBILITYI HAVE AN ESTABLISHED AND SUCCESSFUL CAREER TRACK RECORD OF UNDERSTANDING BOTH BUSINESS AND PERSONAL FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY THROUGH 25 YEARS OF INVOLVEMENT IN THE MORTGAGE BANKING AND CORPORATE ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT FIELDS. I HAVE EDUCATION IN BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT; GENERAL MANAGEMENT TRAINING; HUMAN RELATIONS; MAKING MEETINGS WORK AND TEAM BUILDING. I AM A TEAM LEADER AT BMD, WHICH IS AN ESOP COMPANY, AN EMPLOYEE OWNED COMPANY, SO I UNDERSTAND THE COST OF DOING BUSINESS AND ALWAYS THINK OF WAYS WE CAN SAVE MONEY AND INCREASE REVENUE. I ALSO OWN AND MANAGE SEVERAL RENTAL PROPERTIES IN GALT. I HAVE LIVED IN GALT FOR 20 YEARS WITH MY HUSBAND AND TWO CHILDREN (AGES 18 & 20), AND HAVE EXPERIENCED FIRST-HAND THE YEARS OF ECONOMIC PROSPERITY AND DOWNTURN AS MANY HAVE IN OUR CITY. I HAVE BEEN ACTIVE IN COMMMUNITY ACTIVITIES, HAVING SERVED ON THE PTA AND VOLUNTEERING AT SCHOOL SPORTING EVENTS AND FUNDRAISERS. I AM AN ACTIVE COMMUNITY MEMBER PARTICIPATING IN THE ADOPT-A-STREET PROGRAM; RELAY FOR LIFE; NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH; AND COMMITTEE MEMBER FOR THE INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AND NATIONAL NIGHT OUT. I BELIEVE STRONG LEADERSHIP, A POSITIVE ATTITUDE, RESPECT FOR OTHERS AND PRIDE IN THE COMMUNITY ARE ATTRIBUTES THAT I POSSESS THAT WILL MAKE ME A QUALIFIED CANDIDATE FOR CITY COUNCIL. |
