Candidate for
Council Member; City of Fountain Valley

I am a fiscal conservative who values integrity in public service. With over 30 years of public safety leadership experience, education, community involvement, and the desire to represent all Fountain Valley residents and business community in a fair and respectful manner provides me the necessary tools to make sound common sense decisions.

I believe in supporting and keeping our essential services at a high level, while ensuring a planned and balanced budget. It is time for pension reform and open transparent disclosure. It is important to maintain continuity on the city council, focusing on fiscal stability that ensures sustainability for the City's future and economic well being. I am proud the year I was Mayor in 2011 the City put one additional paramedic unit in service and added $1.3 million into the City's Reserve Fund. It is important to note, Fountain Valley has the highest Reserves (as a percentage of annual budget) in Orange County.

I will continue to evaluate our service delivery and look to the private sector and neighboring cities to form partnerships to reduce costs and expenditures, while providing high level essential services.
