Candidate for
Mayor; City of Ridgecrest

I has lived in Ridgecrest since 1963. Attended Burroughs High School, Cerro Coso Community College, and obtained a Bachelor of Science from Cal Poly Pomona in 1981. I have worked for the Department of the Navy for nearly 32 years. My day job is the Head of the Development and Investment Office for NAVAIR Ranges which manages the test infrastructure upgrades for China Lake, Pt Mugu, and Patuxent River test ranges. I am also responsible for the maintenance and repair budget for test facilities, roads, and other infrastructure for the Weapons Division's Ranges Department, VX-30, VX-31, and Targets Department. I am also on the board of directors for a nonprofit rural health clinic system, National Health Services, Inc.  I served for the planning commission for two years and completed my service as chairman of the planning commission. I also served as chairman of General Plan Advisory Committee which lead a team of planning commissions and community representatives to develop the 20 year vision for the City of Ridgecrest, the General Plan which was adopted in 2009. I am currently serving as city council member since December 2008 and have the current title of Vice Mayor.
