Official Statement for Justin L Wedel

|
My name is: Justin Wedel My age is: 33 My occupation is: Walnut Creek Small Business Owner Education and Qualifications: As an active member in the community, I believe our City Council needs leadership that can provide results. I am a results-driven volunteer, technology executive, entrepreneur, and small business owner. I care about Walnut Creek and I am committed to serving and improving our community as a member of the Diablo View Rotary, Walnut Creek Downtown Business Association, Chamber of Commerce, and Walnut Creek on Ice, and many others. My professional and volunteer experience has given me the leadership skills and insight necessary to get our city's finances back on track and protect the services we have grown to love. I will bring financial common sense back to City Hall by implementing a long- term financial plan, leading a community-driven balanced budget process, and ensuring that all public employees pay their share of pension and health care costs. We need leaders that will partner with our business community to ensure we remain the economic heart of the East Bay. I will work hard to make sure our business community can build upon its success so that we can continue to fund all the amenities we have grown to love, including our library, arts, recreation, and open space programs. As a parent I know the importance of protecting what we hold closest to our hearts. I believe that public safety should be a top priority. Our police force should be equipped not only to keep downtown safe, but also to protect what matters most - our families and our neighborhoods. As your councilmember, I will continue to work directly with the community to move our city forward and protect what we treasure most. I would be honored to earn your vote. Please feel free to contact me with your ideas, suggestions and concerns at 925-899-2535 orjustin@justinwedel.org. |
