I am the fiscally conservative Democratic candidate for California's new 33rd Congressional District. This means I'll cut overspending in government by putting a stop to medicare fraud, shrinking our federal bureaucracy and eliminating wasteful spending on such things as security contractors and nation-building in Afghanistan and Iraq. I will develop real American cyber-security and prioritize clean energy production to grow jobs domestically, and even locally.
As a business attorney, I appreciate the limited role that the federal government should play in business. There is truth to the saying, "All politics is local." Legislators and bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. cannot address our community's needs better than our own local governments.
