To prevent potential reduction of services to the Police Department, restore Police staffing and services; maintain the financial viability of the City; ensure adequate park maintenance, restore City Hall service hours and return Recreation Programs for youth; shall the City of Greenfield enact a one cent sales tax, which will sunset in 5 years, and be subject to review by an Oversight Committee, annual financial audits and public expenditure reports?

  • On Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Memorial Hall on El Camino Real in Greenfield, there will be a forum that includes a discussion of this measure. This forum is co-sponsored with the Greenfield Chamber of Commerce and will start at 6:30 p.m. The forum will be moderated by the League of Women Voters of the Salinas Valley and will end at 8 p.m. All are welcome.
