As an Area Human Resource Manager for a large international aviation company, I understand how important it is to have and keep a job. Eddystone is a small town where the percentage of unemployment is fairly high. If elected, I plan to continue to assist residents in finding employment. In March 2011, I planned and coordinated a job fair for the Eddystone Community and assisted residents in developing and creating resumes for the fair and for future use while job hunting. Over 20 companies attended and 400 plus participants came looking for jobs. The amount of attendees is evident of how important jobs are to not only Eddystone and the surrounding communities. My goal is to continue to volunteer my time in any capacity required to assist the residents of Eddystone in finding work and to work with current council to bring new businesses to our town. I fully support new businesses that bring jobs and tax monies to our town. |
