New Start for Our KidsFOR MEMBER OF NORTH MONTEREY COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD JENNIFER SKIDGEL-CLARKE Occupation: Agriculture Education Specialist Jennifer Skidgel-Clarke is the Vice President of Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance for Steinbeck Country Produce in Salinas, California. She currently serves as a Board Member to Monterey County Farm Bureau and is past President of the Salinas Valley Chapter of California Women for Agriculture (CWA). Jennifer Skidgel-Clarke has demonstrated her dedication and commitment to educating children about the vibrancy and diversity of Monterey County's Agricultural Community through her active participation with Monterey County's "Farm Day", and her participation as chair of CWA's scholarship committee for the past several years. Jennifer's Five Point Plan: Make education and school safety a top priority. Work to raise test scores and graduation rates. Advocate for parents, students, and teacher needs. Keep class sizes low and retain skilled teachers. Fight for transparency when it comes to district spending on behalf of the tax payers. Jennifer Skidgel-Clarke earned her Associates Degree from South Lake Tahoe Community College and graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2000 with a bachelor's of science in Fruit Science. Jennifer Skidgel-Clarke lives in Prunedale, CA with her husband, David Clarke. They are ten year residents of North Monterey County.
