Candidate for
Governing Board Member; El Monte Union High School District

As an educator Juanita M. Gonzales believes that all stakeholders play an integral part in providing a quality education where each of the El Monte Union High School District graduates is college and career ready. Juanita will ensure this occurs by:

• Ensuring fiscal Responsibility
• Supporting teachers, classified staff and all school employees
• Provide opportunities to involve teachers and parents in all district policies affecting the classroom and students
• Ensure that we have safe and secure schools
• Ensure transparency in all decision making

Juanita has also proven she has the leadership qualities to bring stakeholders together to make the positive changes necessary to improve student achievement. She has, in her career as an Assistant Principal and Principal, been responsible for evaluating the teachers in the classroom. Juanita understands what best practices in the classroom should look like and she will ensure we continue to have highly qualified teachers in every classroom.

Juanita M. Gonzales is an advocate for public education, teachers, students, and parents. She understands that it requires all stakeholders to bring about the positive change we are striving for in the El Monte Union High School District.
