Full Biography for Donna L. Usavage

|
I have worked at Merck for 23 years and at General Electric for 5 years prior to that, applying computer programming skills to statistical and engineering solutions. I have been a manager for 14 years and have a broad variety of experiences leading teams and strategic projects. I have been fortunate to work for companies who make employee development a priority. As a result, I have the analytical skills as well as the professional and leadership skills required to be a very effective School Board Director. In addition, I work a flexible, part-time schedule which will afford me the time to devote to the School Board. I was first elected to the Board in 2009 and have taken on a very active role: Vice President, Alternate Boyertown rep to BCTC, leader of 2 Board committees and Board rep on 3 district-wide committees. Public schools are facing unprecedented funding challenges and I look forward to serving on the Board to find fiscally-responsible solutions to preserve the value of education at Boyertown. |
