Candidate's StatementBy Imelda SerranoCandidate for Council Member; City of Bell; 4 Year Term | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Greetings to all my fellow neighbors, friends and family. I am filled with honor to be a Bell Resident for over 18 years. I am a mother of two young children who are also being raised in Bell. I am currently a student at East Los Angeles College and will hold an Associate's Degree in Business Administration. My finance and accounting background are two essential skills which are vital in regards to our city's budget deficit. Courageously I stand with you as I too experienced embarrassment, anger and disappointment with our current scandal of mismanaged public funds and tax dollars. However, I decided to turn that embarrassment, anger and disappointment into awareness. Awareness: in taking responsibility and accountability in becoming active while seeking understanding and knowledge. Today, I ask for your VOTE and support so that together we can rebuild our community and have a transparent, honest, trustworthy and loyal City of Bell Council. With dignity I promise to work non-stop in assuring that our public funds and tax dollars are spent appropriately while maintaining our public safety, children and senior programs intact. The efforts in attracting new businesses while implementing current businesses to grow and prosper effectively. Lastly, I remain hopeful with our City of Bell residents that together we will regain charge of OUR community, but most importantly OUR city! Thank You, Imelda Serrano |
