Supporting Small Businesses: Put Pasadena First
Small businesses are the key to economic recovery. People are hurting economically. I am concerned about the number of empty storefronts. Pasadena's economy is impacted by the national and regional economy--the city council needs to find ways to stimulate the local economy. Small businesses create jobs.
Good Schools Are a Top Priority
My wife Rita and I have three children. All have attended Pasadena Unified schools. I am a strong believer in public education. Good public schools are the key to the vitality of the city. They attract young families to Pasadena and provide a skilled local future workforce.

If we are concerned about our city's character, we cannot neglect our most valuable asset--our children and their education.

Traffic and Our Neighborhoods
Traffic congestion is one of the most challenging issues facing our district.
