I was re-elected without opposition to a fifth term as Hamilton County Auditor in 2006. In 1990 I became the first Democratic endorsed candidate to win a Hamilton County administrative office in two decades. I was also re-elected in 1994, 1998 and in 2002.

I was a Delhi Township Trustee for twenty-one (21) years, and was also President of the Hamilton County Township Association for seven (7) years.

I served sixteen (16) years on the Board of the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), chairing the Board for three (3) years. PERS is one of the nation's largest private pension plans with over $60 billion in assets. I became a licensed investment broker in 1968 and retired from the Cincinnati office of Paine Webber (now UBS) in 1999 after a twenty-one (21) year association.

I have been a long-time Tri-State area radio personality, and in October 2009 concluded a morning program on "Oldies 1160", WDJO. Previously I did mornings on WSAI from 2003 to 2005. My top-rated Sunday night show was heard on WGRR from 1991 until 2002. Previously, I was on WLW, WKRC, and WSAI.

In 1964, I was one of the "Good Guys" sponsoring the Beatles' Cincinnati appearance during their first American tour, and in 1965 was named "Cincinnati's Most Popular Disc Jockey" by "Billboard" magazine. In 2001 I was inducted into the Ohio Radio & TV Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

I have served on the Executive Committee of the County Auditors Association of Ohio, am a founding member of the Western Hills Exchange Club, a member of the Cincinnatus Association, and belong to several civic and political organizations.

Among honors I was the Hamilton County Township Association County Public Servant of the Year in 1999 and the American Subcontractors Association of Cincinnati Public Official of the Year in 2000. In 2001 the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists honored me with a second place award for the best public information website in the state.

I am 70, was born in Syracuse, New York, and am a Syracuse University graduate with a B. S. in Communications Arts from the School of Speech and Dramatic Art.

My wife Jo Ann and I have been married for forty-seven (47) years, have two sons, one grandson, and are members of the St. Vincent de Paul parish in Riverside.
