When did you ever hear of a temporary tax ending?
Lets think "Out of the Box" for a moment: What if El Cajon had the lowest tax rate in the county? buyers would flock here to make large ticket purchases as local residents are doing now in Santee. The difference would be made up by sheer volume. The sales tax difference to a local consumer is minimal on your everyday purchases, but on large ticket items it really adds up, particularly on a vehicle purchase. Short sighted thinking is always just ask for more.
