This information is provided by the candidate
Statement of JOHN RADFORD, Candidate for Member, Los Altos City Council

Occupation: Executive/Entrepreneur Age 61

Education and Qualifications:

We are blessed to live in Los Altos Hills, with its peaceful beauty, wonderful pathways and dedicated residents. My wife and I moved here in 1998, built a home and raised our two daughters.

As a Stanford MBA, I co-founded Radford Compensation Surveys in 1975. My background includes support for community service: Specifically Board Member of Resource Area For Teaching, Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence, and MVLA Scholars Sponsor. For eight years I've served on Town committees including Education, New Town Hall and Donor Wall.

If elected I will work vigorously to 1) Preserve the rural charm of this Town supporting both open space regulations and environmental initiatives 2) Invest in local services and infrastructure and 3) Build our sense of community through neighborhood programs, activities and public education.

The issues may change, but my approach will not. I'll bring a strong fiscal business perspective and decision-making experience to the council. My strength is getting people to work toward a common goal. I believe that every successful endeavor begins with caring, listening and respecting divergent points of view.

I'll provide a fresh/independent voice for the residents and be honored to have your vote.
