Candidate for
Board Member; Berryessa Union School District

As a Governing Board Member of BUSD, David will work to improve public financial oversight and work for equitable distribution of resources amongst all District employees and school sites; he will go line by line through the budget to find resources to support our students and provide them with the best education; he will fight to keep class sizes low and support our classroom teachers delivering a quality education to our children. Most importantly, David will be an advocate for our students and their needs.

David has a life-long-commitment to our local schools and children. Born and raised in east San Jose, he attended Toyon Elementary, Piedmont Middle, and Independence High schools. He is an active volunteer (National Hispanic University Foundation Trustee, East Side Union High School District Audit Committee, former North Valley Youth Soccer coach) and respected certified public accountant.

David is actively involved in the Berryessa district, served as chair of the Bond Oversight Committee and serves as a member of the budget committee and Berryessa District Advisory Committee. He and his wife Debbie, a Berryessa teacher, have two daughters attending local schools.
