Full Biography for Dino Riggio

|
My name is Dino Riggio and I am running for Lafayette City Council because I feel it is important for the next generation of Lafayette residents to start taking civic responsibility for the town that we call home. I grew up in Lafayette and attended Acalanes High School, then the University of Colorado at Boulder where I received a BA in Accounting. After graduating, I returned to Lafayette to start a small business, and I am now entering my last year at JFK Law School. Our city has been fortunate enough to remain fiscally stable during these uncertain times, and my aim, if you should elect me, will be to further strengthen our local economy by promoting the growth of new businesses. Currently, I am an acting member of the student government at JFK, and on the board at St. Perpetua School. I am also a charter member of the Young Professionals Network of Contra Costa County Association of Realtors. I have always participated actively in student government as well as donating time to community organizations because I believe it is important to be active in the decision-making that directly effects one's own community. With my education and practical experience garnered from running a small business for several years, I can bring a fresh perspective and help to solidify the financial well-being of Lafayette. I look forward to serving you on the Lafayette City Council. Thank you for your support. |
