Candidate for
Director; Ambrose Recreation and Park District

I have participated in meetings with the other Board members,General Manager and residents to develop the Ambrose Park District Master Plan that will include replacing the 60 year old pool with an updated and energy efficient design for today's use requirements at the Ambrose Park. It will meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and the Federal Public Pool and Spa Safety Act.

The Ambrose Board has approved funding to upgrade and remodel the Community Center and continue meeting requests from residents to add programs and classes by obtaining grants and partnerships with area companies and local businesses.

With the other Directors, I have worked closely to develop policy to create new revenues, establish a strong reserve fund, to help the District stay in budget and develop improvements to the Ambrose Park and Recreation District.

Another important area to me is to keep the residents of the District informed on news of the District. We have a website with information that is updated regularly. We recently have distributed a newsletter to the community and the local schools about the new programs and classes and other information. The Board encourages residents of the Ambrose District to attend our meetings on the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 at the Ambrose Center.
