Candidate for
School Board Director; City of Berkeley

I attended California Public Schools from Kindergarten through High School, and graduated from the University of California at Davis with a BS degree in Botany, with a concentration in Genetics. After working as a research assistant in a small family-owned seed company in the North of France, I returned to this country and worked for Wells Fargo Bank in the International Trade Finance Department. I left that job to work full time in my own business as a letterpress printer, which I have continued to enjoy for 28 years.

My two sons have always attended Berkeley public schools. They have participated in many of the activities offered for youth in our community, such as Berkeley/Albany Little League, Berkeley Summer Baseball, Berkeley Summer Day Camp (where my oldest son has been a counselor) and Teen Camp, Ultimate Frisbee and other BHS sports, workshops and performances at The Freight & Salvage and Youth Musical Theater Company productions. Through my children's activities I've learned much more about all that Berkeley has to offer and made many personal connections that have enhanced my own experience as a member of this open, culturally rich and diverse community.
