LAW ENFORCEMENTBy Randy J. BarliCandidate for State Representative; District 49; Democratic Party | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Communities' revenue loss has placed extreme undue burdens upon Pennsylvania's State Police force, as other services.Communities overwhelmingly rely upon the State Police for law enforcement, safety, & protection, because of our loss of revenue. Technology is NOT a replacement nor excuse for human law enforcement, safety, & protection. As I currently understand, our Troopers on patrol don't have the ability to have another Trooper in the same vehicle for back up upon their request alone, another in the chain-of-command is the deciding factor. Any reasons for Trooper controlled back-up requests are the best: does/doesn't feel good about a situation; woke-up right/wrong that day; good, bad, & etc. If my current understanding is wrong, thank GOD! Otherwise, WE have a starting point long past due. REGISTER, VOTE, RUN FOR OFFICE! |
