Candidate for
Village Justice; Village of Croton-On-Hudson

As a former Judge of the New York Court of Appeals, Appellate Division, and Supreme Court, it is a privilege and an honor to support the candidacy of Lisa Marlow Wolland, Esq. for Croton Village Justice. I have known her personally and professionally for over 3 decades, and I can state with complete confidence she will make an outstanding judge. Having served in the trial and appellate courts for 30 years, I know the qualities that judges need to gain the trust of those they serve. I know her work first hand, as she was a law clerk at the Appellate Division when I served as a judge of that Court. Her skills are exemplary; her approach resonates fairness and excellence in scholarship and work habits. She earned the respect and esteem of the Judges of the Court.

Most important, she will bring to the Croton Village Court her impeccable standards of honesty and decency, standards she exhibits in the ethical language of her daily conduct. She is a diligent and highly intelligent and insightful lawyer who has had a sound undergraduate (Cornell) and law school (St. John's) education which has served her well. Finally, her rich experience in the law has seen her serve as a prosecuting attorney, a defense attorney, and a court attorney. That well rounded history enables her to understand the entire judicial process from every viewpoint. Finally, she will be firm when necessary, compassionate when appropriate, and always fair.

The People of Croton are lucky to have her on the ballot on March 16.

Lisa Marlow Wolland is a candidate for Village Justice -- a position she is well-qualified for.

I have known Ms. Marlow Wolland professionally and socially for some ten years when we began working together at Mischel & Horn, P.C. (in Manhattan) on appellate matters representing clients convicted of serious crimes in which lengthy sentences were often imposed. Ms. Marlow Wolland is a very intelligent, serious and skilled lawyer who is passionate, tireless and diligent in her representation of our clients. Her dedication to justice and her sense of fair play are truly remarkable.
