Residents need to be kept informed and their opinions sought before government takes actions affecting them.
Elected officials must be open to the views of the public. Citizens should be informed of major issues so they have the opportunity to air their views on issues important to Aldan and thataffect them and the community. This needs to be done before Borough Cuncil meetings and actions. In short, the Council should tell the public what major actions they anticipate undertaking with the taxpayer dollars and seek the resident's input. Council should not just take action and then tell the public what they have done and how they have spent the tax dollars. In a borough as small as Aldan this could be done quite easily.
