1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)
I have a graduate science degree, plus 32 years employment with P&G performing research and product development projects using that training. Also, I spent 16 years in public service and 12 years after retirement volunteering in civic projects developing skills in addressing public policy issues and dealing with multiple constituencies.2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)
A Comprehensive Strategic Plan, as I envision it, would include Goals and Strategies with associated Time-lines and Metrics in the following categories: Academic achievement, Behavior/Character training, District marketing, Financial planning, and Community involvement. Parts of this have been undertaken, but are out of date; some are simply non-existent, e.g., Marketing and Community involvement. An up-to-date comprehensive plan requires a program of Benchmarking and determining Best Practices, which can be inaugurated through personal contacts with highly rated nearby districts, plus friends of the district with broad public school⎯urban and suburban⎯consulting credentials.
