- Establish a Citizenry Email Database to better inform residents and businesses of: 1) Crime & Safety alerts 2) City News 3) Upcoming Events - Stop growth of Multi-family & Section 8 Housing all over the city - Promote & Rename Galbraith Rd as the "Reading Science & Technology Corridor" between C.C. Hwy & I-75; Attract a Hotel/Conference Center to Galbraith and I-75 auto dealer location now sitting vacant - Begin Mobile Sidewalk Police Patrols, Hire more Police, Initiate Neighborhood & Community Oriented Policing Organizations - Revamp Criminal Codes for greater punishment; Strong & Aggressive Enforcement of Housing Codes to beautify our neighborhoods - Updated and Cleaner Recreation areas/Parks, Create a Zero Depth `splash zone' at the City Pool to increase attendance for all ages - Establish a yearly "Taste of the Valley" festival on a closed Bensen St. featuring the best restaurants located in Reading and other `Valley' communities |
