Questions & Answers

1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)

I am a proactive person and I am ready to take on the challenges that face the city of North College Hill. I am a problem solver and in my current profession I help to run a hospital unit and keep communication and information flowing seamlessly throughout Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

I will address these priorties by making sure all citizens of NCH are kept informed of legislation and ideas I have. Accountability will be encouraged and welcomed because the most important part of government is the citizens it is responsible to. I will work to keep taxes fair and make filing them an automated and easy process. The public will be given North College Hill financial reports so that they will know where their tax dollars are going. Finally, public safety issues will be addressed by finding ways to get more officers on the street.

3. What two actions would you promote to enhance city revenue or decrease city expenditures in order to balance the city budget, given the current economic conditions? (100 word limit)

I would enhance our revenue by making the tax collection and payment processes automated and easy to navigate. Use of online service to pay and file taxes as well as keeping the public informed on what we are spending their money on is one of my top priorities. This would not only enhance our revenue but also decrease expenditures by using more automation. We could also sell the Clovernook School property recently aquired in a land swap deal with the school district instead of trying to maintain a very old building.

4. What steps should the local government take to ensure that the quality of rental property meets minimum legal standards? (100 word limit)

The city needs to hold property owners responsible for their rental units. Current laws permit the city to hold the owners responsible and need to be enforced. I would look at this area if elected to see what could be done to improve the current process.
