Jim Arndt is currently Director of Stores for Canali flagship in New York. As Senior Executive Store Director he launched an Italian menswear wholesaler to the next level by expanding its brand by opening stores in North America. Jim Arndt as a Senior member of a family owned and operated business in Fairfield County. Jim was one of 5 non-family members in an executive position in a $140 million dollar retail operation. Jim's accomplishments for excellence in business has been written about in several books recently published. Jim Arndt as an Executive for Neiman Marcus, White Plains, was an integral part in bringing an under achieving store to being profitable. Jim Arndt had to develop strategies, budgets as well be a liaison for new hires and vendors. Jim Arndt as an Executive for Bloomingdales, White Plains, was involved in the 40,000SF expansion in the 90's. Jim and a team of senior executives enabled the opportunity for profitability by layering on 28 million dollars of new volume. Jim Arndt started his career with Gatsby men's stores, White Plains. Jim helped to expand the company from being the 1 men's store and the 1 woman's store, Cactus, to having 11 stores in the North East. Jim Arndt as an executive has gained admiration from his peers and employees throughout his professional career. Jim Arndt continues to maintain a high respect with all he works with. Jim Arndt has been instrumental for the last 20 years in the involvement of store development, budgets, and staffing, leasing and operating successful businesses. Jim's grandparents owned their business, Arndts' Nursery, here for 50 years. His father is an alumni of White Plains High School, Class of 1961. He's been a part of the downtown district for almost 30 years. He lives here with his wife and children. Jim's worked here since he was a kid. |
