What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit) Answer from Jeanne Kirkton: Nurses are critical thinkers, decision makers and problem solvers as well as advocates and liaisons. These attributes serve me well as a Webster Groves City Councilmember. Because I understand the implications of state policy on local government, I am prepared to make sure that legislation is beneficial for my community. Answer from Randy Jotte: My qualifications include exposure to the diversity of needs of our society through my work as an emergency physician and a decade of legislative experience working with the public to achieve sustainable solutions. I am familiar with the problems our society faces and how to arrive at solutions. 2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (50 word limit) Answer from Jeanne Kirkton: I believe that government that meets its basic obligations to citizens in the matters of fiscal responsibility, public education; health care, clean environment, public safety and sound infrastructure will attract more employers to Missouri and help build our economic strength in a manner that's good for everyone. Answer from Randy Jotte: Real solutions require all vested interests be included in the discussion and respected. I will bring contrary interests together to reach mutual understanding and results. I will apply this approach, which has worked for me in the past, to make health care, education, and the environment more secure for all.
